Nike Introduces Studio Fleece: The Ultimate Uniform for the Everyday Athlete

Nike is introducing Studio Fleece: the ultimate uniform for the everyday athlete.

Designed to move seamlessly through every part of an athlete’s day, Studio Fleece delivers a unified system of considered sportswear staples that redefine fleece for contemporary sport style.

Built on the insights of more than 300 women around the world, the collection leverages Nike innovation to inform every aspect of the engineered softness, comfort, structure and color performance that make each piece feel better, function stronger and last longer.

This system of design features exceptionally soft tops and bottoms in two fits and three weights, illuminating a new vision of sport and style that offers unlimited opportunities for self-expression.

The collection further comes to life in an array of colorways, led by Total Black and Birch Heather styles that are equally timeless and built for today. And because classic style doesn’t fade, Studio Fleece silhouettes in Total Black are made from a new Nike innovation: a dye recipe engineered to resist color fade and maintain a deep, rich black for at least 30 washes.

“We thought through every detail to create the ultimate uniform for everyday life, with a Nike-only lens of performance innovation and product obsession,” says Jill Gonzalez, Senior Manager of Product Line Management.

Studio Fleece Fits, Weights and Design

The world of Studio Fleece begins with two fits: a classic standard cut that’s closer to the body, and a roomier oversize cut that offers a more relaxed look.

Standard-fit silhouettes are available in three weights that meet every moment with ultimate comfort and style, while the oversize fit is available in heavyweight for a defined fit.

• Lightweight pieces are supersoft, breathable and light, making them a top pick for layering.
• Mediumweight styles are the ultimate go-to layer — supersoft, versatile everyday favorites.
• Heavyweight silhouettes are crafted to offer more shape, warmth and structure for elevated styling.

Lightweight and mediumweight styles are created with a five-time sueded face treatment that adds an exceptional level of softness and comfort, and heavyweight options feature a brushed, reverse-heather construction to offer premium comfort and a heritage sport style.

Nike designers considered every detail of the Studio Fleece’s design — from the hood construction, proportions and fit to the trims and finishes — to land on a product that feels elevated yet easy to wear.

Statement details include cleaner silhouette lines, reduced cuffs, an updated hood, and signature Lyon Blue labels that work in unison to distinguish Studio Fleece from traditional fleece offerings, bringing a new level of polish, youthfulness and intention to each piece.

“The best Nike products come from obsessing over detail and carefully curating design,” says Claire Durfee, Lead Apparel Designer. “For Studio Fleece, we challenged every element of the product, refining proportions, materials and finishes to create a fleece system that feels more considered, more versatile and distinctly Nike.”

The women’s Studio Fleece collection is joined by Solo Fleece, a mediumweight men’s hoodie enhanced by ​a brushed back main body material, ​slightly cropped and boxier fit, self-lined darted hood and 3D embroidered Swoosh.

Both collections are on display in a joint campaign that underscores Nike’s connection between sport and everyday life, featuring Nike athletes Alysa Liu, Jazzy Davidson, Sha’Carri Richardson, Moses Itauma, and Lauren James and Reece James, alongside multihyphenate artists Karina and Yeat.

Together, Studio and Solo Fleece speak to the essence of Nike Sportswear: Through athlete insight, Nike innovation, thoughtful design and personal expression, the collections reflect more than just product — they’re the ultimate uniform for the everyday athlete.

Studio Fleece is available now at nike.com and select Nike partner retailers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The collection will be available worldwide beginning September 1, and additional styles will release in the coming months.
