Making Play and Sport Possible Through Our Nike Community Impact Fund
What to Know
Through the Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF), we’re creating the future of youth sport in our employee backyards across North America and Europe. We do this by investing in local nonprofit organizations and schools that are driving positive, lasting change and making play possible for all youth in their communities.
NCIF empowers employees to help create change in their communities by getting involved in the grant selection process. This unique, employee-led, neighborhood-focused approach allows Nike to support organizations that we’re confident can make a big impact on their communities — because no one knows what their neighborhood needs better than the people who live and work there.

Here’s how NCIF works
- Starting in January, local organizations in NCIF-supported communities in our employee backyards can apply for a grant.
- A volunteer committee comprised of local Nike teammates — from offices, logistic centers and Air Manufacturing and Innovation sites — is trained on how to review grant applications.
- NCIF committee members share their local insights and provide recommendations on which organizations should receive funding.
- By the end of May, local organizations are notified about their grant requests and grant disbursements are made.
