Nike Basketball is inviting athletes to up their feel for the game with the new G.T. Cut 4: a silhouette designed to give hoopers the ultimate connection with the court, helping them seize the opportunity in every moment.

As the latest model in Nike’s storied Greater Than series of basketball footwear, the silhouette merges pinnacle Nike innovation with bold, futuristic design to give players the responsive court feel they’ve grown to love and expect in every G.T. Cut shoe.

In creating the G.T. Cut 4, a team of Nike Basketball product experts, designers and innovators dove deep into the mentality and movement of athletes who are fueling a game that’s becoming more versatile than ever. The silhouette reflects their insights, bringing forward best-in-class cushioning, traction, stability and fit in an ultramodern low-top design that’s not to be missed.

“The G.T. Cut 4 pushes the game forward and is built to match the feel, speed and creativity of today’s athletes with Nike Basketball’s most advanced innovation yet,” says Ross Klein, VP, Creative Director, Nike Basketball. “We took what players loved from past G.T. Cut models and evolved it with new technologies and deeper insights from players around the world, creating a shoe made for the future of basketball and the hoopers shaping the game.”

The G.T. Cut 4 adapts Nike’s softest and most responsive cushioning technology for the hardwood, featuring a ZoomX 3.0 midsole and parabolic Zoom Strobel that work alongside RBR-X foam for enhanced stability and a Cushlon carrier for added support.

This best-in-class combination of Nike foams unlocks both comfort and performance for players who use their quickness on both sides of the ball. It also pairs with a new generative traction pattern that supports quick cuts and changes of direction, helping hoopers get to their spot and stay one step ahead.

Furthermore, the G.T. Cut 4 brings forward a low-profile, snug and comfortable fit that helps players feel at one with their footwear, featuring a 3D-molded collar, molded vamp tongue and exoskeleton-casted containment upper that enable seamless, multidirectional movement.

First worn by Nike athlete Paige Bueckers at WNBA All-Star Weekend and officially unveiled during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, the G.T. Cut 4 joins the G.T. Future as the latest in Nike Basketball’s venerable Greater Than lineage, which delivers footwear based on the exact attributes the next generation of players need to lead the game into the future.

Nike Basketball designers are putting their stamp on the game through both G.T. models, pairing the futurism athletes see in themselves with innovations that support their preferred styles of play. While the G.T. Cut 4 is built to enable elite court feel, the G.T. Future is built for players who use their bounce to take over the game — emboldening them to take flight by pairing a forefoot Air Zoom unit with a parabolic Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 midsole.

While visually distinct, both silhouettes share a design language that is evocative, is futuristic, and speaks directly to the next generation of hoopers.

“Today’s players are defining their own path on and off the court,” says Klein. “The G.T. Series is Nike Basketball’s commitment to their future — built to elevate their game and style with bold design and breakthrough innovation.”

The new G.T. Series silhouettes also reflect Nike’s unparalleled commitment to basketball, its athletes and the culture of the game.

By committing to listening to the voices of athletes — girls, boys, women and men, from the EYBL to the highest levels of the game — Nike is creating the future of basketball footwear, with industry-leading silhouettes along the spectrum of feel that accentuate the way players use their athleticism to their competitive advantage.

Nike complements these footwear innovations with colorway stories, materials and finishes that match the bold and confident energy the next generation of hoopers brings to the court.

By creating the best for the best, then delivering it to those who love the game the most, Nike is championing the players at the heart of basketball, powering the future of the game and fueling basketball culture — all in service of athletes, particularly the next generation.

The Nike G.T. Cut 4 will be available in January 2026 at nike.com and select retail locations.
