For the second time, Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf are partnering to create a capsule collection, featuring footwear and apparel for on and off the course. The collection is designed to inspire young Black professionals to see themselves in the game of golf, helping expand the sport for the next generation. Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf coming together around the game of golf is a powerful statement about the future of the sport, and the expanding influence of basketball culture.
The footwear silhouettes include special colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low, Air Jordan 1 High Golf Cleat, Air Jordan 12 and Air Jordan 12 Golf Cleat.
The red clay color and detailing on the collection symbolize the journey of overcoming adversity through the game of golf. The tie is a personal one for Jordan Brand. The Black community has a history of flipping otherwise negative phrases to be a source of inspiration. While being “in the mud” is considered a negative, many young professionals are embracing the mud in their lives as an inspiration to keep persevering.
The apparel includes a variety of on- and off-course silhouettes, like polos, cardigans, hoodies, tees and more.
The collection releases beginning November 7 on eastsidegolf.com. Select pieces from the collection release November 12 in North America on nike.com and SNKRS, and at Trophy Room (Orlando) and Sole Fly (Miami). Select pieces release globally November 12 on nike.com and at Jordan retail stores. The Air Jordan 1 High Golf Cleat will launch on November 18 and the Air Jordan 12 Low Golf Cleat on December 2.
