Alexis Sablone is already unlike any other skater in the park or creative in the studio. As a professional skateboarder, architect, sculptor, painter, producer and more, she sets the example for a multitalented generation of creatives who are shaping the future. The Converse AS-1 Pro, Sablone’s debut performance signature shoe, is made for the modern creative and skateboarder alike.
The AS-1 Pro is a true design collaboration between Converse and Sablone. The shoe takes inspiration from Converse basketball and court silhouettes of the ‘80s while using innovative solutions to create a comfortable shoe for all skaters. The AS-1 Pro is the first cup sole offering in the Converse CONS line. Created with a newly engineered coring built into the outsole, the cup sole helps increase impact protection while maintaining board feel. The visible herringbone outsole is refined to Sablone’s feedback to help maximize the grip between the board and the shoe. The silhouette features a CX foam sock liner for impact protection and cushioning. The height of the rubber lateral sidewall means the AS-1 Pro can handle the demands of all riders.
The Converse AS-1 Pro releases globally May 2 in the green colorway. The red colorway and the black colorway release June 2 on converse.com and at select global retailers.
