Nike is announcing the addition of Ryan Williams, one of the most dominant wide receivers in university American football, to its decorated roster of NIL athletes.
Ryan, a University of Alabama second-year student, is an explosive wideout who earned Freshman All-American and All-Southeastern Conference Coaches' First Team honours during his first season with the Crimson Tide. In partnering with Nike, he joins an unmatched NIL athlete roster fuelled by the brand's holistic, industry-leading support and long-standing commitment to innovation, all in service of athletes.
"Since I can remember, Nike has always been the best fit on and off the field", says Ryan. "Family has always been a huge part of who I am. When I had the opportunity to join the Nike family, I knew I had to just do it".
Ryan led the Crimson Tide with 865 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns during his first season in Tuscaloosa. A finalist for the prestigious Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Year Award, he averaged more than 18 yards per catch, earned 66.5 yards per game and contributed two rushing touchdowns on four total carries.
Ryan is looking to build on his impressive freshman campaign during the upcoming season, with his Crimson Tide, a Nike partner for more than 30 years, expected to again rank among the top college American football teams in the country.
