Fair Labor Association Reaccreditation
In February 2019 the Fair Labor Association (FLA) board of directors voted to re-accredit Nike’s social compliance program for the third time.
The FLA reaccreditation report highlighted the continuous review and improvement of our social compliance tools and social compliance program strengths. These include:
- Our executive management and board of directors’ commitment to uphold workplace standards
- Staff understanding of trends in labor violations and their expertise in finding solutions with suppliers
- Strict protocols to ensure responsible purchasing practices
- Ongoing development of partnerships with external stakeholders to address systemic labor violations
- Innovative programs to support suppliers as they improve factory-level working conditions
FLA accreditation is the gold standard for a systems-level approach to human rights compliance and social responsibility.
