Nike Refreshes First-of-Its-Kind Race Medal for 2026 After Dark Tour

After transforming the race medal concept for the inaugural 2025 After Dark Tour, Nike has raised the bar for what comes next. The result: an avant-garde 2026 After Dark Tour race medal tailor-made for her. Its unique, versatile design represents the evolution of the tour and the power of the women who cross the line at every stop. 

Designed and developed by an all-women innovation team, the 2026 After Dark Tour race medal represents resilience, community and accomplishment. Together, these elements transform the medal into more than a finishing‑line moment. Rooted in creative self-expression, the race medal is designed to be worn as a necklace, bracelet, keychain loop or belt chain—allowing each athlete to make it her own long after race night ends. 

In a nod to last year's medal, the 2026 finisher medal showcases elevated textures and reflective design coatings. The bold Nike Swoosh chain also features smaller, laser-engraved Swooshes, reinforcing both craft and expression. 

New to the 2026 finisher medal design is its unique customisation. From a city-specific carabiner for each race stop to versatile ways to wear the race medal, runners have the freedom to style, layer and carry their achievement in a way that reflects who they are and where they ran. 

In 2025, the brand transformed the concept of a race medal, creating an iconic finisher necklace to match the energy and endurance of the After Dark Tour. In addition to reimagining the race medal for 2026, the team also curated a collection of accessories that will be available to runners as a gift with purchase in select locations. Each piece features a deconstructed element of the finisher medal, including Swoosh hoop earrings, textured Swoosh stud earrings and earbud cuffs. The full collection was designed by women, for women—serving athletes who run the night and define their own race.
